Better by design

The McLaren range of leisure clothing is based on principles I have learnt from life on my croft by Loch Raddy in the Scottish Highlands.

QUALITY:
In the tough Highland environment, quality counts. My father used to tell me "I am not so rich that I can afford to waste my money on cheap things" and I have long since learned to pay a wee bit more for quality and to save in the long run. Quality also brings lasting pleasure in use. The tartan of my kilt will last me a lifetime and it inspired me to use the tartan tag as a sign of quality throughout the McLaren range.
STYLE:
That Ancient McLaren tartan is just beautiful, I'm sure you'll agree: the blues, greens, reds and yellows blending to create a harmonious whole. All ranges of McLaren clothing will be based around these classic colours, ensuring that different items will match each other, just as in the tartan. However, the tartan will be used sparingly in the best possible taste.
SECURITY:
A Scotsman keeps his eye on his money, and what better place to keep cash than in his sporran? It would take a light fingered thief indeed to get his hands on cash kept there! For those without the kilt and sporran, I have designed discreet pockets in most of the range for security.
FLEXIBILITY AND INNOVATION:
Life on the croft teaches you to find different uses for what you have to hand. Those pockets could have several uses. They could be particularly useful when you travel abroad, where the locals might not be just quite so trustworthy as folk at Loch Raddy; or when a crisis might call for a reviving shot of the whisky, our "Water of Life". I cannot abide waste, so I have designed a stylish reusable bag as packaging for most of my current range, which should prove useful for carrying all sorts of things, just like the sporran.
COMFORT:
As one accustomed to the comfort of the kilt, I have ensured that my range of clothing does its job while you are unaware of its presence. Now, that's the mark of real comfort. Why, you might almost be wearing the kilt! You'll not even feel the wee pockets or their contents. Try them and see for yourself.
